Music listening in the home environment is always tied down to the room in which the speakers are located. Unless one wishes to rewire their existing house, their is no easy solution to bring music to all areas of the house.
Concept
Due to advancements in wifi technology, we may now make use of the dead space contained within the traditional light switch.
Details
A mp3 player, wifi chip, and two speakers inside of a light switch can be installed inside of a housing of light switch. With these elements, the light switch can connect wirelessly to either the user’s computer or media center. The traditional light switch interactions will also trigger music found either stored in the switch, or music that is being streamed throughout the home wireless network. A small light dimmer switch resides on the left side of the switch, and a small volume slider resides on the right. Lights on the top of the switch shall display connectivity status.
A full house of speaker switches will allow a person to move from room to room in their house without interrupting their current choice of music.
