Everywhere is looking to put a title after your name

Welder
Politician
Marketing Guru
Planner
Optical Engineer

We do this for efficiency purposes. With titles people can quickly understand your interests, your educational level, and perhaps your economic status. Often in history, though, we see highly influential people with great diversity in their skills….what titles would the greats have? Was JFK simply a politician? What is Steve Jobs…Businessman, Designer, Marketer….or simply an investor (remember he got most of his money via simply investing in Pixar)

Isn’t every athlete part marketer(endorsements or sponsorships must be found), part manager
(utilizing the most out of their body’s resources), and part physicist (moving their bodies to defy gravity and physics).

So through my job search I am forever being pushed to apply for a set position, to commit to a
set path. My own heart knows that life and success it not so easily described. It would be quite disturbing if my obituary only had a two word phrase after my name…yet the world is so aggressive to push people to this.

The world needs to realize that true insight, innovation, and inspiration comes from bringing
all areas of the world together….not by taking them apart.
